High Five For Friday!

Time to link up with From My Grey Desk again!  Even though I took Monday off work and it was a short work week, I'm still glad it's Friday.

Here's five of my favorite things from this past week:

1.  I got my hair done yesterday and I'm loving it!

2.  Loving my new iPhone that my hubby got me for Valentines Day

3.  I got this new Duvet cover at Ikea for the house in Fort Bragg...can't wait to get back over there and set it up.  I'm going to accent with the red!!  Super cute!
EIVOR LEVA Duvet cover and pillowcase(s) IKEA Percale; crisp, cool bedlinen densely woven from fine yarn.

4.  Super excited about my sister and her family coming to town tonight.  We are going out to dinner to our favorite and only restaurant in town!

5.  Dino, the kids and I have not gotten sick in the last year.  There has been a lot of ugly stuff going around and we have been really lucky to not have caught anything!  Sooooo thankful!

My poor Family!!!

I am on day 3 of eating healthy and let me just say right now....I was a bitty all day yesterday!!!  Ugggg  It's really bad when you know you are being a "B"

I ate a banana, Greek yogurt, and some carrots during the day!  I know not enough, that's probably why I was so grouchy!  For dinner me went to Applebee's.  I tired really hard to eat good.  It's pretty easy to do there at Applebee's.  I didn't do great, but did better then usual.

I tried this new (to me) Greek Yogurt yesterday!  I will say it's my new fav.  So much more creamer then regular yogurt.  If you haven't tried it I highly recommend you do!

I had a dinner salad and then ordered off the appetizer menu.  I had the Wonton  Chicken Tacos.
Zesty grilled chicken stuffed in crispy wonton shells and topped with crunchy Asian slaw and cilantro. 590 calories.  Very yummy and made my mood improve just a little!

I didn't have anytime to exercise last night because we had to make a run to Home Depot and got home to late.  I won't be able to exercise tonight either because my day is going to be a complete hectic day.  Grace has Dance, and Softball tryouts, Colby has a Basketball potluck and then off to a game.  Dino will go with Grace and I will go with Colby.....I would much rather go to tryouts but Dino and I did the Row Sham Bow and he won!!! :(

Wish me luck to a better day!

Happy Happy Wednesday!

I'm going to share some pins that I'm loving :)
I'm really excited about starting my exercise program and eating healthy again.  Maybe by next week I will be running again?

Motivation

I've heard really great things about Biotin.  I bought some, so now I need to start taking them.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I'm over it!  We went to Fort Bragg over the weekend and worked our Valentine Butts off, so now I'm to tired today to even get excited about The Big LOVE Day!  Plus Dino showed me enough love over the weekend  helping with all the work that got done at the Beach House!

So as I look at other blogs and see Valentine's every where I have decided to write something today about the diet/exercise I'm starting.  I have been packing on the pounds and haven't exercised since probably Oct. and it has caught up with me.  Tamie- inspired me when I was chatting with her on our way home from the ocean, she went to a health food store and bought a bunch of vitamins so she would start feeling better.  So what do you say Tam????  I think we should do a weekly post keeping track of the hours we have exercised.   Are you in?

I want this chicks body!!!  Do you think that is still possible at 42?

High Five for Friday

Photobucket

I am so glad it's Friday! It's been a very long week, and the hubby didn't have a very good day yesterday which really bums me out! Time to link up with From My Grey Desk again! Here are our five favorite things for this week!

1. Went shopping yesterday and got a awesome frame at Marshals. When I saw it I knew exactly where I was going to put it. I think it looks great!  Pictures to come! - Chris

2. Loving my new Coach sun glasses! - Chris

3.  My son Colby!  He is in the 7th grade and is taking a geometry class.  He is working 3 years above his grade level and yesterday he took a really hard test.  The teacher said it's the hardest test that she gives.  Colby finished 15 min. before any of the other students.   He got a 98% and the teacher told him that only one other student has ever scored a 98%....it was 6 years ago and it was Colby's cousin!  I'm bragging about my smart son, but he didn't get the math smart gene from me! - Chris

4.  Breakfast at my moms and afterwards, a visit to a new thrift store.  Its not often that this 46 yr old gets breakfast made for her...what a treat! - Simply, Tamie

5.  I am giving myself a "BIG high five" just for showing up at my sons school to sell Valentines Day candy grams and for making it to a late night Little League meeting when I should of been home in bed nursing myself back to health!!!  Finally Friday....I survived the week!!! - Simply, Tamie

How do you plan to celebrate Valentines Day?  Do you celebrate as a couple or as a family??  Its become a tradition in our home to celebrate this holiday with those that we love the most...our family.  My hubs and I have planned a date night to see The Vow on another night of the week.  Here are a few things that have become a tradition in our home.

Spring must have fashion

It's going to be 70 degrees here today and SPRING is on my mind.  My husband and I worked in our front yard last night after work trimming our Crape Myrtle trees and now I'm ready for the grass to green up and plant some color!  Feeling like spring also has me thinking of shopping.  I organized my closet and color coordinated my clothes...really made me realize I have way tooooo much black, grey, and brown.  EVERYTHING I own is a solid color.  I really would like to add some prints, stripes, and patterns to my wardrobe this spring.  With that being said, I'm now on a mission!

I love this

Contrast stripe tee from J.Crew

The best thing about this tee is it's on sales right now for $31.60!!  Can't go wrong with that!

Contrast stripe tee
Okay is this just cute or what???  Adorable!!!  Also from J.Crew
Painter V-neck cardigan in stripe
Love this simple outfit, from the Gap
I think this tote is really cute from Banana Republic for only $59.50
I live in flip flogs in the Spring and Summer!  I may just have to order me these!  Super cute, I just hope they are comfortable??
Stacked jewel flip-flops
I would never wear this but this is just adorable!  Ummm maybe Shelby??
Ella dress in medallion paisley
What are YOU thinking for Spring Fashion?  Would love to hear your ideas?
